Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts is the area's umbrella arts agency. We serve as an advocate for artists working in all the disciplines and a clearing house for information on all aspects of the arts. We promote theater, music and dance performances as well as an exhibition series based in the Lebanon Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College.

Our long term aim is to provide the arts in the Lebanon Valley with a home where rehearsal, performance, educational and exhibition facilities will be housed

Classical

Classical music is one of the genres of music that LVCA members are interested in and involved with. The Lebanon area has a rich history of musical achievement and that continues with the commitment of several institutions and  organizations to keeping the classical tradition alive and thriving in this region. The area supports several orchestras whose members perform on a professional or amateur basis. These include the Central Penn Symphony and the Hershey Symphony.

In the local schools many fine teachers instruct children in the various instruments which go to make up an orchestral or chamber music group. At the college level Lebanon Valley College's rich music tradition provides the area with a number of groups from both the student body and from among the ranks of its instructors and is home to a Kindermusik program bringing music and the joy of music making to the very young.
