Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts is the area's umbrella arts agency. We serve as an advocate for artists working in all the disciplines and a clearing house for information on all aspects of the arts. We promote theater, music and dance performances as well as an exhibition series based in the Lebanon Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College.

Our long term aim is to provide the arts in the Lebanon Valley with a home where rehearsal, performance, educational and exhibition facilities will be housed

Ted Liles

Ted Liles was born April 1, 1946 and is a native of Norfolk, VA. He attended Norfolk State College, graduating in 1969 with a BFA in Graphic Design.

After serving a stint in Vietnam he was hired as a Graphics Arts Assistant by Hershey Foods in 1971 and worked there for the next nine years. He taught for some time in Harrisburg before returning to Norfolk in 1980, where he joined a local Artist Coop (IFA ART STUDIO) and continued to paint. In 1990 he was part of a group who opened ALIVE Art Studio, offering artist-friendly rates for studio space, instruction to young artists in the community and a performance site for poets, writers and musicians. In 1996 he moved his family back to the Lebanon Valley and has since been employed in the convenience store business.

Ted’s primary media are acrylic and charcoal and he exhibits his paintings in Central Pennsylvania and in the Norfolk area.
