Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts is the area's umbrella arts agency. We serve as an advocate for artists working in all the disciplines and a clearing house for information on all aspects of the arts. We promote theater, music and dance performances as well as an exhibition series based in the Lebanon Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College. | Local theater is
predominantly amateur with performances in the Spring and Fall
seasons. The leading amateur group the Lebanon Community Theater
performs in a facility in Stoevers dam on the North East side of the
City. A strong tradition of presenting musicals is carried on by the local high schools, who put on their shows each spring in March or April Mount Gretna Playhouse has a fine summer series which uses professional and semi-professional players and presents a variety of musical and dramatic offerings in the summer months. Dinner theater fans are catered to by the people at the TImbers Dinner theater in Mt. Gretna.
