Dorothy Perez
Dorothy Perez lives and works in
Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She has been illustrating and painting since she
was a young girl. Dorothy received a BFA degree from Kutztown
University in 1987 in Communication/Design. The summer before her
senior year she traveled to Italy with an overseas studies program
sponsored by the University of Georgia. She spent that summer touring
and taking art classes. While in Italy, she met her future husband
Luis, Cuban born, but living in Florida. He also has a degree in
fine art from Florida State University. They married in 1988 and have
two sons, Aaron and Lucas. During the spring of 2002 they added a
daughter to their family. Maria (Rao Yu Ping) from Nanchang, China.
They traveled to China and spent 2 weeks touring and being inspired by
Chinese artwork.
Dorothy has worked
with Publications International illustrating two books in a series of
'I can draw' books. Recently she has done illustration work for
Morehouse Publishing, illustrating The Parish Acolyte Guide for them in
2003. She has also done quite a bit of work for Rooftop Productions and
for various local companies and private collectors. She is available
for just about any type of work including book, magazine and greeting
card illustration and private painting commissions on almost any
